Paws & Discover Dog Event
Saturday 14th March, Cathedral Lawn, 10am-1pm
Dog lovers across Peterborough are invited to Cathedral Lawn for Paws & Discover, a dog-friendly event, celebrating the city’s four-legged visitors and the launch of our new dog-friendly directory.
The event will include free basic medical check-ups from Woodgreen Pets Charity, along with the chance to chat with their professional dog behaviourist.
Visitors can also join a guided dog walk taking in some of the city centre’s green spaces, as well as a dedicated trail leading participants to dog-friendly businesses along the route, with treats for visiting pups and special offers for owners!

FREE Health & Wellbeing Checks
Local animal charity, Woodgreen, will be in attendance at the event offering FREE basic check-ups in 15 minute pre-bookable slots between 10am and 1pm.
Do you have a question about your dog? Do you want to build confidence clipping your dogs claws? Have you noticed a change in your pet that you would like to discuss? Or do you just want a general check over to ensure your pooch is doing okay? The team at Woodgreen are here for you!

FREE City Centre Dog Walk
Join our free, city centre guided dog walk at 12pm on Saturday 14th March and enjoy some of the city centre’s beautiful green spaces.
FREE City Centre Dog Trail
Follow the trail map to seven city centre businesses that will have some tasty dog treats to give out on the day! Plus, there’s the chance to win a £100 Pets at Home gift card*.
Maps will be handed out at the event to guide you to each business.
Prize Draw Terms & Conditions:
Participants in the Dog Trail who check in via the QR code at each business by 8pm on Saturday 14th March 2026 will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 Pets at Home gift card.
Each venue checked into counts as one entry; the more venues visited, the more entries you receive. The draw is open to UK residents aged 16+, with one entry per dog. All valid entries will be included in a random draw during the week commencing 16 March 2026. The winner will be contacted by the Peterborough Positive team using the details provided at check-in. If the winner cannot be reached within 14 days, an alternative winner may be selected.
