Peterborough’s Positively Ghoulish Trick or Treat Trail Terms and Conditions
By taking part in Peterborough’s Positively Ghoulish Trick or Treat Trail on Saturday 26 October 2024, you agree to the terms and conditions set out below.
Terms and Conditions
1. Whilst on the trail
1a. You accept full liability and are solely responsible for the safety of you and of your group while following and completing the trail. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the trail. Please take care when crossing roads.
1b. Organisers (Peterborough Positive and Peterborough Museum) provide guidance on the completion of the trail via a printed map, collectable from Peterborough Museum on the day. Organisers deem this information to be correct but cannot be held responsible for any information and/or guidance which may seem to be inaccurate by you. This includes suitability for wheelchair and pushchair users such as step free access, as well as duration of the trail and directions should walkways be blocked due to building works or other.
1c. Whilst on the trail, you are responsible for making the decision to stop and should not carry on if you feel the trail is not suitable for you or your party. The entire trail does not need to be completed to be able to claim the final ‘reward’ from Peterborough Museum.
1d. The trail takes place in the city centre and within businesses also open to other members of the public. Organisers cannot be held responsible for the behaviour of other members of the public at any point along the route. If you are concerned, please see 1c.
2. Contributors (Businesses offering discounts along the route)
2a. All Peterborough’s Positively Ghoulish Trick or Treat Trail contributors (companies) participating in the trail (as listed on the map available via Peterborough Museum) are solely responsible for fulfilling the ‘treat’ business offer available to you or your party during the trail. Organisers are not responsible in any way for these offers. Organisers do not accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death to anyone occurring as a result of you or your party accepting any products as part of this offer.
2b. Organisers will make provision of edible ‘treats’ given out by ‘Halloween characters’ within the contributors’ venues. These are individually wrapped and sourced through reputable companies. Allergens list and vegan/vegetarian status of the treats will be available on request at each trick or treat ‘stop’. Alternative treats are available.
2c. Any known allergies of anyone in your party are to be made known to the ‘Halloween character’ at each contributor prior to you accepting any treat, or participating in any trick. Organisers do not accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death to anyone occurring as a result of you or your party accepting and/or consuming any ‘trick or treat’ products during the trail.
2d. Treats are available while stocks last. Contributors and Organisers have the right to change the treat on offer at any time, as well as withdraw from the trail at short notice.
2e. All information, including but not limited to, the opening hours/days of each contributor and the treats each contributor offers are correct at time of publication. Businesses may close at short notice without prior warning.
3. Copying and Sharing
3a. Organisers hold all intellectual property rights of this trail, which is protected by copyright law; all rights are reserved. In participating in this trail, you are granted permission to use this material for personal use. You must not modify the paper trail product in any way, or use any illustrations, photographs, or graphics separately from any accompanying text. If you are found to be in breach of this, Organisers reserve the right to take further action as appropriate.
3b. This product is supplied for domestic and private use only. Commercial use is prohibited, without prior permission of all Organisers.
4. Prize Draw
4a. All participants that return a completed passport to the museum and fill in a short contact form will be entered into a prize draw to win tickets for up to 5 people to watch a film at the Odeon cinema in Queensgate shopping centre (once open). The winner will be drawn at random on the week commencing 28th October and will be contacted directly by the Peterborough Positive team in November 2024.
