Yoga at Peterborough Cathedral

Join us for a series of FREE outdoor Yoga sessions in the beautiful and tranquil grounds of Peterborough Cathedral.

Taking place on the following Saturdays, 13th April, 11th May, 8th June, 13th July, 10th August, and 7th September, join us for either Kundalini Yoga at 9am or Hatha Yoga at 1030. These sessions are perfect for beginners as mats and blocks will be provided. **These sessions are now fully booked - Please keep checking here for tickets** Watch the highlights video of our first few sessions here.

Peterborough's Strongest

This thrilling event returns to Cathedral Square this summer!

Join in the excitement on Saturday 10th August from 10am to 5pm, as athletes go head-to-head in a bid to become Peterborough’s Strongest! This years event promises to be even bigger with the addition of an exciting head-to-head truck pull and free 'strongperson' inspired activities for children, led by the team at Vivacity. Click here for more information.

Our free, family Halloween Trail is back!

Taking place on Saturday 26th October join us for plenty of tricks and treats, as we hunt for spooky characters hidden around the city centre. More details will be announced soon!

Glastonbury Big Screen

Festival vibes are coming to the city centre this summer!

Join us on 29th and 30th June for our free big screen showing of the iconic Glastonbury festival in St John's Square.

With live music, food vendors, and that unmistakable festival atmosphere - it's going to be a weekend to remember!

Family Football Trail

Join us for a day of family fun with our football themed, city centre trail.

With football fever set to grip the nation, enjoy a football themed, family trail around the city centre on Saturday 15th June. Starting at Peterborough Museum, this free trail promises fun for all ages.

To get involved collect your passport and map from Peterborough museum from 10:30am, and visit the six featured businesses who are representing different tournament countries and take part in our football challenges.

Complete the trail and collect the stickers to get access to exclusive offers and the chance to win:

  • Peterborough United match tickets and a city centre family restaurant meal
  • one of 10 free days at a Peterborough United summer football camp

Plus, there's an exciting penalty shootout finale at the museum!

Business Networking Breakfast

Join us for our first Business Networking Breakfast on Tuesday, 16th April from 8am to 10am at Fratelli Tavola Calda restaurant in Rivergate.

With a focus on ‘growth’, we have three inspiring speakers:
  • Self-made millionaire and business mentor, Mike Greene, will discuss the importance of self-development and continuous learning.
  • Joseph Valente, winner of BBC’s ‘The Apprentice’ and listed in Forbes 30 under 30, will share strategies for sales and marketing success.
  • Charlotte Horobin, CEO of Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce, will offer invaluable advice on creating meaningful partnerships.

Peterborough’s Positively Ghoulish Trick or Treat Trail

Saturday 21st October 2023, City Centre, 10am-4pm

Hundreds of families took part in a free, spooktacular trick or treat trail around the city centre during this one-day event organised by Peterborough Positive and Peterborough Museum.

Families dressed up in their most fang-tastic costumes and followed the trail map through the city centre to find spooky characters hiding in six shops and businesses, solved their tricks and won some treats.

Peterborough's Strongest Competition

Sunday 20th August 2023, Cathedral Square, 11am

A free-to-spectate strongperson competition in association with Royal's Gym, where athletes went head-to-head in five events across four categories including Women, Beginners, Novice, and Intermediate.

The competition had a brilliant turnout, with 29 participants and a few hundred spectators, and we hope to bring back the event for 2024!

Wimbledon Finals Big Screen Weekend

Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th July 2023, St John's Square, 12.30pm

A family-friendly, big-screen weekend event to watch the Men's and Women's Wimbledon Finals.

We provided camping chairs and delicious refreshments were on offer from local businesses such as summer drinks, 'Wimbledon' milkshakes, strawberries and cream, and fresh pizzas.

Dizzy O'Dare Easter Weekend Theatre Fun

Saturday 8th April 2023, Cathedral Square, 12pm

Professional circus and theatre group, Dizzy O’Dare, brought joy, laughter and education to Peterborough city centre.


The contemporary circus and outdoor theatre company performed three renditions of their popular show Falconry Dismay! which was enjoyed by hundreds through the afternoon.
