Yoga at Peterborough Town Hall

Join us for FREE Yoga sessions in Peterborough Town Hall.

Trick or Treat Trail

Our free, family Halloween Trail is back!

Grab the kids and hop on a broomstick for a day of dress-up, devilish tricks, and of course, tasty treats! 👻 Take part in a FREE trick or treat trail around the city centre between 11am and 3pm on Saturday 26th October, when maps detailing six shops and businesses hiding Halloween characters will be available to pick up from the museum. Dress up in your most fang-tastic costumes and follow the trail map through to find our spooky characters. Solve each character’s tricks and be rewarded with various treats including offers from participating businesses on food and drinks, free activities, and, of course, trick or treat sweets! Check out our interview with PCRFM or our press release to find out more! Click here for trail T&C's.

Yoga at Peterborough Cathedral

Join us for a series of FREE outdoor Yoga sessions in the beautiful and tranquil grounds of Peterborough Cathedral.

Big Screen Family Film

Get the popcorn ready...

...and join us for 'Monster Sunday' as we team up with Peterborough Cathedral to present free big screen family film on Sunday 18th August from 4pm in Cathedral Square. Families can immerse themselves in Peterborough Cathedral’s thrilling 'Monsters of the Sea' exhibition* before settling in for Finding Nemo on the big screen! The event also includes free face painting and glitter bar, to transform little ones into their favourite sea monsters and add extra sparkle to this jaw-some afternoon of fun. Seating is available on the day on a first-come, first-served basis. Watch the highlights video here! *Visit the Cathedral’s website for admission prices.

Safari Sunset Yoga

Join us for a relaxing evening of yoga set amongst an impressive backdrop of realistic animal sculptures.

Led by Verity, from Yoga with Verity, this free Hatha yoga session will take place on Wednesday 14th August, from 7.30pm to 8.30pm in Queensgate Shopping Centre's, North Square. With sunset lighting and a safari inspired sound track this one-off session isn't to be missed.

Peterborough's Strongest

Saturday 10th August 2024, Cathedral Square

A free-to-spectate strongperson competition in association with Royal's Gym, where athletes went head-to-head in five events across five categories including Women, Juniors, Beginners, Novice, and Intermediate. The competition had a brilliant turnout, with 67 participants and more than 1000 spectators, and we hope to bring back the event for 2025! Read more about the event here.

Glastonbury Big Screen

Festival vibes are coming to the city centre this summer!

Join us on 29th and 30th June for our free big screen showing of the iconic Glastonbury festival in St John's Square. With live music, food vendors, and that unmistakable festival atmosphere - it's going to be a weekend to remember!

Family Football Trail

Enjoy a football themed, family trail around the city centre on Saturday 15th June.

Starting at Peterborough Museum, this free trail promises fun for all ages. To get involved collect your passport and map from Peterborough museum from 10:30am, and visit the six featured businesses who are representing different tournament countries and take part in our football challenges. Complete the trail and collect the stickers to get access to exclusive offers and the chance to win: â€¢ Peterborough United match tickets and a city centre family restaurant meal• one of 10 free days at a Peterborough United summer football camp Plus, there's an exciting penalty shootout finale at the museum!

Join us for our first Business Networking Breakfast on Tuesday, 16th April from 8am to 10am at Fratelli Tavola Calda restaurant in Rivergate.

  • Self-made millionaire and business mentor, Mike Greene, will discuss the importance of self-development and continuous learning.
  • Joseph Valente, winner of BBC’s ‘The Apprentice’ and listed in Forbes 30 under 30, will share strategies for sales and marketing success.

Peterborough’s Positively Ghoulish Trick or Treat Trail

Saturday 21st October 2023, City Centre, 10am-4pm

Hundreds of families took part in a free, spooktacular trick or treat trail around the city centre during this one-day event organised by Peterborough Positive and Peterborough Museum.

Families dressed up in their most fang-tastic costumes and followed the trail map through the city centre to find spooky characters hiding in six shops and businesses, solved their tricks and won some treats.

Wimbledon Finals Big Screen Weekend

Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th July 2023, St John's Square, 12.30pm

A family-friendly, big-screen weekend event to watch the Men's and Women's Wimbledon Finals.

We provided camping chairs and delicious refreshments were on offer from local businesses such as summer drinks, 'Wimbledon' milkshakes, strawberries and cream, and fresh pizzas.

Dizzy O'Dare Easter Weekend Theatre Fun

Saturday 8th April 2023, Cathedral Square, 12pm

Professional circus and theatre group, Dizzy O’Dare, brought joy, laughter and education to Peterborough city centre.

 

The contemporary circus and outdoor theatre company performed three renditions of their popular show Falconry Dismay! which was enjoyed by hundreds through the afternoon.
