As a key stakeholder in the city, Peterborough’s BID Board has been invited to take part in Peterborough City Council’s budget consultation. The Board will be reviewing the budget on behalf of the city centre businesses within the BID levy paying area.

The board is concerned that funding cuts in some areas could affect the effectiveness of the BID’s four priorities and we will endeavour to have some proactive conversations with the Council regarding this. Click here to read the Council’s budget proposals.

We’d like to remind all business owners paying the BID levy from April 2022 that this money is ringfenced to be spent on the BID’s initiatives, as outlined in our Business Plan after extensive consultation with you. This pot of money is not intended to fill gaps within the Council’s budget; it is allocated to be spent on BID projects only.

In order to gather your views on the Council’s budget, we invite Peterborough city centre business owners and managers to complete our short survey by Friday 18 February 2022. The collective responses we receive will be used to inform the BID’s budget consultation response.
